@writeswith_kay: The next morning, the academy buzzed with whispers. "Did you hear? The Manoban heir gave her coat to Jennie Kim." "I thought the Manobans hated the Kims." "Maybe the rumors aren't true..." Jennie ignored every word as she walked through the marble hallways. Draped neatly over her arm was Lisa's dark coat, freshly cleaned and pressed. She had intended to return it first thing that morning. Unfortunately, fate seemed determined to make things difficult. As Jennie reached the academy courtyard, she spotted Lisa beneath a towering oak tree, quietly reading a book. Unlike the other noble students who laughed and gathered in groups, Lisa preferred silence. Jennie hesitated. "Just return the coat and leave." Taking a deep breath, she walked over. "Manoban." Lisa looked up from her book. "Kim." Jennie held out the neatly folded coat. "You left this with me." Lisa glanced at it but didn't reach for it. "I know." "...Well?" "You cleaned it." Jennie frowned. "Of course I did. It was covered in mud." Lisa closed her book. "I didn't expect you to." Jennie sighed. "I was raised to return borrowed things properly." For the first time, a faint smile tugged at the corner of Lisa's lips. "I can see that." Jennie blinked. Was that... a compliment? Before she could answer, another voice interrupted. "There you are, Lisa!" A group of noblewomen approached, dressed in elegant gowns and sparkling jewelry. One stepped forward confidently. "Would you honor me by attending the Harvest Ball next month?" Lisa answered without hesitation. "No." The young woman forced another smile. "Perhaps another day?" "No." Another tried. "My family would be delighted to—" "I'm not interested." Jennie watched in disbelief. Lisa rejected them as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world. One by one, the noblewomen left, disappointed. Jennie folded her arms. "You certainly know how to make enemies." Lisa shrugged. "Leading someone on is crueler than refusing them." Jennie couldn't argue with that. "...That's surprisingly thoughtful." Lisa looked at her. "You expected arrogance." Jennie looked away. "I expected a Manoban." For a brief moment, silence settled between them. Neither noticed someone watching from the academy steps. Prince Minho, heir to one of the kingdom's most influential houses, observed the conversation with narrowed eyes. "So," he murmured to himself, "the rumors are true." A servant standing nearby bowed. "My prince?" "Invite Lady Jennie Kim to dine with me this evening." "At once." --- Later that afternoon, Jennie was tending the academy's flower garden, a place she often visited when she wanted peace. She carefully watered the roses, humming softly. "You'll ruin the roots." Jennie looked over her shoulder. Lisa stood nearby with her hands in her pockets. Jennie raised an eyebrow. "You've been watching me?" "I was passing by." "You seem to pass by wherever I am." Lisa looked completely unfazed. "Coincidence." Jennie laughed quietly. "I don't believe you." Lisa stepped closer to one of the flower beds. "Too much water suffocates the roots." Jennie blinked. "You know gardening?" "My mother grows roses." Jennie smiled despite herself. "So does mine." For a while, they worked in silence. No arguments. No insults. Just the sound of birds and the gentle breeze moving through the garden. It was... peaceful. Until footsteps echoed behind them. "Lady Jennie." Both turned. A royal servant bowed respectfully before handing Jennie an elegant ivory envelope sealed with gold wax. "A formal invitation from His Highness, Prince Minho." Jennie accepted it politely. "Thank you." The servant departed. Jennie opened the letter. «Lady Jennie Kim, It would be my honor if you would accompany me to dinner this evening. —Prince Minho» Jennie stared at the invitation, unsure how to respond. Across from her, Lisa remained expressionless. "You should go," Lisa said calmly. Jennie looked up. "...You think so?" "He is a prince." "You make it sound simple." !CONTINUATION IN THE COMMENT SECTION! #jenlisaau #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #likeandshare #fypシ゚viral #writeswith_kay

CONTINUATION

"It is."
-
Jennie searched Lisa's face for any sign of emotion.
-
There was none.
-
Or so it seemed.
-
She smiled politely.
-
"I'll think about it."
-
Jennie tucked the invitation into her bag and walked away.
-
Lisa watched until she disappeared beyond the stone archway.
-
Only then did the calm expression finally crack.
-
Lisa let out a quiet breath she hadn't realized she was holding.
-
For reasons she couldn't explain...
-
The thought of Jennie spending the evening with another nobleman left an unfamiliar ache in her chest.
-
Lisa frowned at herself.
"Ridiculous."
-
After all...
-
Jennie Kim was supposed to be nothing more than the heir of her family's greatest rival.
-
Wasn't she?
