@summer.walk: My night routine… again. 😅 I know I’ve shared it so many times, but I think it’s worth repeating because understanding why you do something is just as important as the routine itself. Hair is mostly made of keratin, a protein that’s naturally strong but not indestructible. Healthy hair needs the right balance of protein and moisture to stay flexible, smooth, and resistant to breakage. When hair becomes too dry, it gets stiff and brittle. When it’s well-conditioned, it bends instead of snapping, reflects more light, and simply looks healthier. That’s why I always apply a hydrating serum first. It helps replenish moisture and keeps my hair soft and flexible overnight. Then I seal everything in with a silicone oil. Silicones don’t hydrate the hair themselves instead they create a lightweight protective layer that slows down moisture loss, so the hydration from the serum stays in the hair for longer. They also reduce friction while you sleep, helping to minimize tangles and mechanical damage. An extra benefit is what happens during washing. Hair is most vulnerable when it’s wet because water causes it to swell. That silicone layer helps reduce how much water rapidly enters and leaves the hair fiber, which means a little less swelling, a little less stress on the cuticle, and a little more protection during wash. So the goal isn’t just shiny hair today it’s keeping your hair conditioned, flexible, and protected for as long as possible. #hairtok #haircare #healthyhair #glasshair #healthyhairtips

Do you think your routine would work for bleached hair?

Hi darling, you don’t use 3-4 pumps of the kerastase genesis serum as recommended? I’m worried that the kerastase overnight cream might be too much for my thin brittle hair.

On the days you don’t do this how do you sleep with your hair in a protective hair style but keep it straight in the mornings? If I braid my hair I wake up with creases

Hi, could you recommend some hair products? I have long, straight hair, but it's a bit weak and I'm losing a lot of it. I'd like something to make it grow thicker and shinier, I don't want it to get tangled, because even though it's straight, it seems to lack hydration. 🥺
