@j_okayyy: It’s so easy to get caught up in comparing, scrolling, and looking at someone else’s chapter and wishing it was yours. We see the adventures, the relationships, the milestones, the homes, the confidence, and the happiness people choose to show the world… and somehow convince ourselves that we’re behind. But while we’re busy looking over the fence, we forget to notice the beauty growing in our own yard. The people sitting beside us, the little moments we overlook, the conversations we don’t fully listen to, the memories being made right now… those are the things we’ll wish we could go back to one day. There will always be someone with more, someone doing something different, someone living a life that looks exciting from the outside. But that doesn’t mean your life isn’t already full of things someone else is wishing they had. Stop waiting for your life to look like someone else’s before you decide it’s worth enjoying. Be present. Love the people in front of you. Appreciate the season you’re in. Because one day, this ordinary moment you’re living right now might be the exact moment you wish you could return to.
