@racing.revolutions: In the 70s a racer named Kunimitsu Takahashi began deliberately sliding his car because his fans loved the spectacle of smoking tires. A young racecar driver named Keiichi Tsuchiya became interested in this style of driving and would practice in the mountain roads of Japan. The Japanese racing scene became very interested in this driving style and eventually multiple popular shops and magazines offered to produce a video of his skills. The film was dubbed “Pluspy” and became a hit, which kickstarted drifting culture in Japan and then to the rest of the world. - Follow for more car and motorsport content! - #drifting #keiichitsuchiya #ae86 #drift #driftking
