What bothers me about her response is years later is that she still refuses to acknowledge the true meaning of being colored in South Africa. It’s not just something they just decided to call people who are mixed race it was created from apartheid era to classify mixed race people where they are seen as systematically superior to the majority native black South Africans. Even today if you are classified as colored in South Africa you have better chance at being a lawyer, doctor, entrepreneur, politician or real agent and if you are classified as black you’re better off at being a maid, butler, taxi driver, nanny, etc. being coloured in South Africa means you are better than black people bc you are mixed race. It’s interesting she still isn’t transparent about the true meaning/origin to the word

Tyla did clarify what being a coloured is, go watch Camryn Suzanne's video about Tyla on YouTube. She got backlash for it and decided on the breakfast she didn't know how to respond after getting backlash for being coloured. Here's my question to you: if "coloured" is so offensive in America, why is the N-word so accepted, what's the difference? Why does the NAACP still exist in 2026? Why do ALL Americans use the abbreviation CPT to explain how black Americans treat time in 2026?????
