We do a yearly family and also Christmas time photo with the same photographer every year, I have a nice collection of photos of me with my kids now. He does take photos once in a blue moon but they are always blurry or the worst angle possible 😂 I’ve held on to them for the memory though, especially the previous ones where he took some unprompted straight after our son was born this year 🥰

I saw a tik tok the other day where the mum just put her phone on a tripod and filmed herself with the kids with a timer. Duh never thought about that

My husband is actually better at being on photo duty than I. I am a more in the moment kinda person and he is about capturing it. He has to have at least 5000 photos since our daughter was born 2 years ago.

Yep or taking nice ones of the baby and grandparents before they think to take a nice one of mum and her newborn… I had this conversation with him though and said that upset me. He agreed and said that was true, that he should prioritised a photo of me and the baby over his parents. It still annoys me when I think about it but we can’t go back 🤷🏼♀️

I had a conversation with my partner about this before our baby was born requesting he takes candid photos because so many mums miss out on this. Its only been 3 days but so far he has obliged.
