Y'all there's a spin off manga of Evangelion called Campus Apocalypse . Nerv is a Catholic school, the angels are ppl with "core" thingys, and the evas are weapons (Shinji-Gun, Kaworu-sword, Asuka-Whip, Rei-Spear of longinus). I'm only on the 4th chapter but it's good!! y'all should read it

i think it's an introspective view of the characters psychological issues it was also made with scrapped parts of unreleased episodes bcs they ran out of money watch end of evangelion for the actual ending but they are masterpieces in there own unique way
