The story starts in London in 1828 with William Crockford, the son of a fishmonger who built one of Britain’s most exclusive private clubs. Nearly 200 years later, that same name has found a new chapter at Resorts World Genting. What I found most interesting wasn’t just the history. It was why Genting chose to preserve the Crockfords name instead of creating an entirely new luxury brand. Sometimes the most valuable thing a company acquires isn’t a building or a logo.
