"I'm so freaking excited for this semester break!" Ningning beamed over her food. "Me too, baby!" Giselle cheered, grabbing a tissue to gently wipe Ningning's mouth. Sitting across from them, Westyn stared at them, looking genuinely horrified to be associated with them, drawing laughter from the two who could practically read her mind. "Sorry, West, wiping my baby's mouth is my duty," Giselle chuckled. "Thank God I'm single," Westyn muttered into her food. "Single, but hard-crushing on Min-" Ningning teased, before Westyn cut her off by shoving a piece of sushi straight into her mouth. "Delicious, right? You're welcome," Westyn said, flashing a subtle warning signal. Without looking suspicious, Giselle and Ningning glanced back, casually waved at a passing group of girls, and smoothly turned back to the table. Just as they were recovering from the sneaky close call, the three almost fell out of their chairs as a book slammed loudly onto their table. "What the f-" "Ahhh!" "Who the hel-" "Are you guys okay?" Kaye asked, almost falling over with laughter as she watched her friends' souls momentarily leave their bodies. "I was freaking fine a few minutes ago, but after you slammed that damn book on the table, I'm definitely not," Giselle complained, still holding her chest. "Gosh, this crazy brat," Ningning sighed, recovering from the shock. "Am I even still alive?" Westyn muttered, checking herself over. "You're overreacting again, Westyn," Kaye rolled her eyes. "Anyways, remember when I said I needed your help?" She tidied her things and sat down beside Westyn. "I won't even be surprised if this is about Ryujin again," Westyn said. "Oh my... are you a mind reader or a mind master or something? How did you know I was going to ask for your help with that?" Kaye chuckled, knowing her friends were exhausted by her constant boy or in this case, girl troubles. "Whatever. Spill it, Kaye." Westyn gently moved closer as she caught Kaye signaling her again. Just as Kaye was about to share her plan, she noticed Ryujin, the person she was interested in, glancing over from a table a few steps away. To be extra careful, Kaye grabbed Westyn's shoulder, leaned into her ear, and whispered every detail of her latest scheme. Giselle and Ningning watched Westyn's facial expressions from across the table and started chuckling, they could already tell it was going to be another terrible idea from Kaye. "Wow. What a terrible idea. No way," Westyn replied instantly. "Told you, baby. We might not have heard it, but if West reacts like that, it's definitely another disaster," Ningning laughed. "What?!" Kaye pouted. "It wasn't." "Share it with us. Let me judge your idea, girl," Giselle urged. Kaye gave in and squeezed herself onto the bench in between the two lovers. Meanwhile, Westyn seemed deep in thought, though her gaze was locked on the table across the room where Minju was sitting. "I'm just asking Westyn to fake-date me to get Ryujin's attention back where it belongs, on me." "Well, it wasn't terrible at all. For me, anyway," Giselle said. "Yeah, I think so too," Ningning agreed. Westyn was caught off guard by her friends' unexpected support. "Really? Well, of course it's not terrible, since you aren't the one executing it." "Think about it, Westy. You might actually benefit from Kaye's idea, too. Why not try it? You might finally get Minju this time," Giselle pointed out. "Please, Westy... I promise this will be the last time I ever ask for your help with this," Kaye pleaded. Westyn glanced back and forth between Minju and Ryujin's table, then looked at Kaye. "I'll think about it. Give me some time," Westyn relented. "That's my puppy right there! Think about it and say yes, please!" Kaye beamed, flashing a wide smile at Westyn.
