so obviously chewing fingernails and eating hair isn't illegal. but that means there has to be a line between acceptable and unacceptable flesh to be consumed. is that line defined?

what if I were to Van Gogh a piece of my own ear of and eat it, would that be legal? Even if it wouldn't i don't think anyone would report me to the police and could definitely get away with it.

Okay but what about lab grown human tissue - wouldn’t that be like vegetation cannibalism ? Stem cells cloning etc

Just wondering- but what if a ate a part of my body while it was still attached, not cutting off my whole leg but a chunck or bite sized amounts at a time? Life if I myself didnt remove enough of myself to have it considered a serious bodily injury, and then ate it myself or consented to others eating it? would it still not be legal?

I'm curious how the law reacts to instances of desperation, like the Uruguayan rugby team who's plane went down in the Andes? Like in a legal vacuum.

the main thing abt this is like cannibalism in the concept of consuming and causing large bodily injury such as mutilation, deep wounds, etc. what then constitutes cannibalism? does the tissue have to be a specific large amount, does the area of tissue taken have to be from a place that limits movement or can become a gateway to serious body harm? a lot of people can have minor accidents that peel off layers of skin, minor cuts and wounds and small flesh that would not otherwise be viable claims in a court of law to hold up as serious bodily injury. if i scraped off a small layer of skin and someone consumed that, would that still be cannibalism and be treated as cannibalism if taken to a court of law despite there being minimal risk from that action? this same argument is taken for blood aswell, if there was a large amount of blood consumed from someone mauling me or smth that would probably be considered cannibalism, but some people r just freaks and lick the blood out of cuts. is that cannibalism? much to think about.
