my problem with that would be most gluten free breads are made with nut flour, so what if someone else at the table also has a secret allergy? And why would he be embarrassed to have celiac disease?

It’s probably because when people don’t know something is gluten free they usually don’t even realize when they’re eating it, so it might have been a win win 😂

As a gluten free person I would never subject everyone else to my diet. Also as some who is also im the industry we get a ton of people who say they are gluten free who not.

I go to a lot of business dinners, a lot and I have a dairy/egg allergy. And I always will just order myself something separate or just ask the server ‘what’s safe’ - would NEVER dictate everyone else. That is crazy.
