We were walking at night down on the Rez road and it was raining and I kept whistling and my friend who was like stop it. I kept doing it to bug her and finally I let out a big long whistle and a huge thunderclap happen and it sounded like it smacked the ground right behind us and I just took off running all the way to cuckoo‘s house

I actually believe this happens because when I was a teenager, I babysit a bunch of young first nation kids and I was there for a few days because they were at a funeral and I guess it goes on for a few days and they were always crying and scared at the northern nights and they kept telling me their ancestors were coming down. I was so confused as a white person. I felt really bad and I kept trying to comfort them.

my cousin when we were kids, in Alberta high prairie where the northern lights are so strong, would lock me on my grandma's balcony and whistle from the window. I'd be screaming and crying and banging on the door, and he'd tell me they'd come grab me lmao.
