For me I know all this time will eventually be delegated out to someone else, I know eventually I’ll have both a personal assistant AND a chief of staff, I’ll eventually be good at paying to get all of that time back. If I don’t have the money to buy all that yet then I’m still in the product iteration, sales, and early growth phase, of which its natural to do a lot of time wasting stuff. It’s never entirely obvious what the time wasting stuff is, I even ask AI a lot and for the more nuanced stuff it gets a lot of those decisions wrong, although it eventually gets it right the more you build your product and the more it knows about it. I noticed at a certain point it’s not worth stressing about of I’m 100% optimized until the product has truly reached the level of escape velocity you want because before that you are still drastically changing the product/architecture meaning all that time you spent time optimizing that one version of the product didn’t even matter because you’ve evolved it into a different product with a new unique set of requirements/circumstances. But of course, you will make mistakes. I just found out I wasted $2k and like 2 weeks straight on a thing I spent a lot of time making sure was flawless, because I didn’t even know what the requirements were when I made that thing, so it doesn’t bother me.
