This happened last year. It was an AK-47 style BB gun. Very realistic looking. The officer actually shot and missed and caused minor injuries to two bystanders. The guy then hid inside his door frame and began firing at the police officer. If you can believe it, the guy who did it wasn’t charged with anything. The slide toward California continues.

One thing this video gets wrong, the people the officer shot at are the people who called the police. The guy is carrying a BB gun because he was just assaulted by someone. Everyone is saying “why point it at a cop” the guy didn’t know it was a cop. He thought it was the previous assailant and the cop never identified himself.

How would anyone know if it was a BB gun? There are some dumb criminals out there. A BB gun the police do not carry. It is not possible to protect a person from their stupidity.
