I stopped at 10 weeks cold turkey. I personally couldn’t wait. The placenta takes over at that point and makes its own progesterone right? Don’t worry as long as the doctor said it’s okay to stop you’ll be okay. I felt way better when I stopped I hated having to take it.

I don’t stop my progesterone until 36 weeks. But I’m on a different protocol than obs do. I go through a functional fertility dr that does napro protocol. It’s higher dosing and is the reason I have 2 babies earth side and expecting number 3 in Feb!

awh massive congrats i went for my dating scans and consultant and he gave me extra and said cause of previous losses lets be extra cautious and take til 20 weeks but i read at 16 your making it all so im confused tbh.

placenta usually finishes taking over around 12 weeks so 16 weeks is more than enough lovely 💓

I was taken off of mine at 12 weeks. They said 10 weeks but I went 2 weeks extra. I was honestly terrified and nervous to come off of it too. Just remember, it was put there to help baby while your placenta grew and took over. I’m currently 20 weeks.

They told me I could stop taking it but I’m scared 😬 I’m week 12 as well. I think I’m just gonna do one dose for a few more days and then do every other day and then stop
