💔 TRAGIC NEWS FROM EAST LONDON: A community is in mourning after a 14-year-old boy lost his life in a devastating drowning incident on the Isle of Dogs. 📍 WHAT HAPPENED: On Monday evening, August 3, 2026, emergency services rushed to Millwall Outer Dock near East Ferry Road. Reports came in that a teenage boy had entered the water and failed to resurface. ⏱️ THE TIMELINE:• 6:48 PM – Emergency services (including police, paramedics, and marine units) are called to the scene.• 10:30 PM – Following an intensive four-hour search by specialist dive teams, the boy's body is tragically recovered from the water. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 🕊️ THE VICTIM: Local community leaders have named the young boy as Banta Sillah. Banta was a talented youth football player for Frontline Community FC.
