@mozellwrobinson: Breaking this cycle is difficult.Raising children with high emotional intelligence is challenging.Preventing them from going through the same things you did is hard too…but it’s totally worth it#emotionallintellient #raisingkids #breakingthecycle #parentingtips #parentinghacks

Came back to say my 21yr old daughter said I wasn't the type of parent to bully her🥺😢....so I did in my eyez n mind what my heart desired....to raise my bby wit all the love I could without bullying her. I did not abuse my power or authority of being a parent....instead my bby is my best friend....n I'm so fckn proud of that n truly Blessed💙🙏🏻🥺

Just bought it. Never had a good solid and consistent role model. My kids trigger my childhood trauma every single day. I want so badly to be better and calmer. Maybe this will help me unlock that. Thank you.

I felt completely blessed to have two healthy babies! They were so sweet, innocent and fun! They became my favorite people and I adored them! Does it get hard? Yes but it’s a rewarding hard. You get out what you put in your child. If you yell at them and never spend time with them, they’ll find it elsewhere. When they are young really cherish each moment!

Damn, this just got hard. I’m a single mom and my child often has to experience my anger and frustration because I’m constantly overwhelmed. But since I chose to have her, I need to be a better mom for her; she deserves it 💕💕

The fatigue is real the more you know and realize its never been you. How many years did i spend blaming myself.

My mom kept telling me to deal with the abuse. I tell my daughter you are worth more.

I was a little chubby as a kid. I can count on one hand the number of times I was bullied by my peers. I can’t count the number of times I was bullied by my parents about my weight. I still don’t have a healthy relationship with food. I’m 26. But my toddler? She will never know the pain of being judged physically by a parent. Never.

oof, that first slide hit hard. a child's first bully is an unhealed parent. my son deserves so much better than my parents damaged goods.

Yeah. I’ve found myself replicating what my parents did. Bc that’s what I know. It’s not that my parents were bad but I want to do better

I have always believed our job as parents was to learn from our parents mistakes and try.....bc they were not perfect but the mistakes were made out of love and their own life experience....our children will not be perfect parents either but God willing a slightly better version of my wife and I 🥰

part of my healing journey was to go back to EVERY incident that my narc dad left me holding the bag....took that little kid in my arms as a grown man, hugged him and told him everything I knew he needed to hear.....the truth...and on....and on...and on...till we became one....hope this helps anyone. peace and love in your journey🥰🥰🥰🥰
