@lauren.digitalsales: I honestly think so many mums are going through this right now.. At the beginning of my maternity leave, I was in debt. I had no savings. And I had absolutely no idea how we were going to make maternity pay last. Every time I looked at our bank account I felt anxious. Every food shop seemed more expensive than the last. And I found myself constantly wondering... How is everyone else making this work? The thing is... I genuinely believed that was just part of becoming a mum. That everyone spent their maternity leave just getting by.. That everyone counted down the days until payday. And that going back to work before you felt ready was just something you had to accept. Looking back now, I realise it wasn't maternity pay that made me feel trapped... It was believing I had no other options. When I found out I was pregnant again, I promised myself I was going to do things differently. That's when I started learning about digital products and Canva. I started with ready-made products while I learnt, built my confidence and eventually started creating my own too. Fast forward to today... ✨ Debt cleared. ✨ Savings building. ✨ Maternity leave extended. ✨ Working hours reduced. ✨ And extra income from home around my girls.
