@ajnabi._6x: Only if we had just a single non-religious historical proof of his existence. But I like his story though. #moses #History #myhthology #abrahamicreligions
Okay but the fact that we don't currently have a surviving contemporary Egyptian record mentioning Moses doesn't mean we can conclude that Moses never existed. It simply means that the surviving historical evidence is limited.
Remember that we are literally talking about roughly 3,000+ years ago. At that time the ancient people used to write on materials such as papyrus, which are highly vulnerable to decay, and also the survival of ancient records is extremely incomplete. Even when written records existed, there's no guarantee they survived to the present day.
So yes historically, "we don't have a surviving Egyptian record mentioning Moses" is simply an argument from lack of evidence, not proof that Moses was a mythical figure.
Sure you can argue that the historical evidence for Moses is weaker than the evidence for someone like Socrates, but that's very different from demonstrating that Moses didn't exist and if i follow the Quran and i know it comes from God who do you think i should obey then ofcourse i know he existed because God said so.
