No internship, no extracurriculars, no club work, mid gpa, no eit, got one offer but I turned it down. I’ll see in a few months if that was a mistake

I have a friend who didn’t get a single internship but had 5 projects on his own time and team experience. He immediately got hired into his dream job at axiom. You gotta work for it, but you don’t need to take this one path

I recommend joining the engineering clubs. Most acquaintances I know that were involved with FSAE, rocket, rover, and etc got offers before graduation.

if you ask a professor for research, most of the time they will be very happy and let you work under them eventually, even if its not right away. there are also many university research programs affiliated with big companies that have very very little competition. LOOK FOR THESE

I graduated in 2022, had no internships but various projects. I could’ve graduated that Spring but I extended it to graduate in the Summer and grinded Leetcode every day while applying to 50-100 jobs a day and got a job right after I graduated. you just need to want that shit ngl

As long as you have something going on and you can speak on it you’re fine. If you have no strong academics. No research, and no internship then your cooked but like no shit if you have nothing

Im currently a senior in petroleum engineering. I've done only one internship across all my 5 years of undergrad. My international status in the university has made it difficult but it's all about networking!!!

If you don’t have an internship stack your resume from stuff like extracurriculars or jobs that are related to engineering (if possible)
