I think it’s also important to remind parents that different schools will learn different styles. My son’s nursery did jolly phonics, but school does read write inc. and although the sounds are all generic the sayings that match the sound are different. So when viewings school, ask about what phonic program they use so you can familiarise your child with that particular one when you find out the school they’ve gotten in to.
