@mayinmidlife: Not getting selected for Chief this year doesn't erase everything you've already accomplished. It doesn't erase the long watches, the deployments, the leadership, the sacrifices, or the Sailors whose lives are better because you showed up for them. Selection is one moment. Your character is every day. Take the time you need to be disappointed. That's human. Then get back to becoming the kind of leader no board can define and no result can take away. Your story isn't over. Sometimes the strongest Chiefs are forged in the seasons that don't go their way. Keep learning. Keep leading. Keep showing up. Your anchors may have to wait, but your impact doesn't. #NavyChief #ChiefSeason #USNavy #MilitaryLeadership #StayTheCourse
I never felt any kinda way my name didn’t get called. A bit disappointed but just moved on. No need for therapy, no tears shed. And guess what? Eventually my name was called…..

most people don't know how or what to do when results come out. Keep your head up shipmates

Good morning! Fellow retired Chief here. While I can empathize with your POV I would submit that an empty bucket needs to be filled with an individual career assessment. I've observed COUNTLESS shipmates who would have had impacted the Navy but went overlooked.
