There is no chance, zero chance (0%) that we do not escalate dramatically. If not now then definitely before 2040. The United States and its friends ***cannot*** let Iran create a new revenue stream of this magnitude and ignore it. That is more dangerous than a potential nuclear weapon. Entering the war may have been a mistake but the conditions that exist now make it so a real ground war is a necessity for national security. How shitty.
