@kodekloud: System Design: Securing Internal Microservices! Hiding your microservice behind a private network is not enough. In Kubernetes, every pod can talk to every other pod by default. If an attacker breaches your public marketing site, they are inside your network and can call your internal payment service directly. Fix this with three layers of security. Use Network Policies to block traffic from untrusted pods. Set up Mutual TLS using Istio so services verify each other with certificates. Then add Authorization Policies so the Order Service can only call Payments and nothing else. This zero-trust setup ensures that even if one pod gets hacked, your internal systems stay safe. #SystemDesign #Microservices #Kubernetes #BackendDevelopment #CyberSecurity #TechTok #Coding
