@dennis_spohn: 🚨 THEY TOLD YOU NO RECORDS = NO CLAIM. THAT WAS A LIE. If your PTSD came from combat, you do NOT need a buddy statement, an incident report, or a line in your medical record to prove your stressor happened. VA regulation already says so. 38 CFR 3.304(f)(2) — if you engaged in combat with the enemy and your stressor is related to that combat, YOUR OWN TESTIMONY can establish it. No corroboration required. 38 CFR 3.304(f)(3) — if your stressor is fear of hostile military or terrorist activity, a VA psychiatrist or psychologist confirming it is enough. Doesn’t even require direct firefights. Nobody told you this. Claim sharks charge you thousands and don’t tell you this either. Here’s what you do: 1️⃣ Pull your DD-214 and look for combat indicators — CIB, CAB, CMB, Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Bronze Star w/ V, Air Medal w/ V 2️⃣ No badge? Pull deployment orders, LES showing hostile fire/imminent danger pay, or unit award citations 3️⃣ Write a personal statement describing the event — where, when, what happened, how it changed you 4️⃣ Get a current diagnosis on the books before you file 5️⃣ File your claim and cite the regulation by name so the rater can’t ignore it The evidence you think is missing was never required.
