the hulk fits here better than lizard, you'd have to establish who he is, how he transforms, and a bunch of other things. also he literally wouldn't work with the plot, he either would already have a working inhibitor for aberrant dna or he wouldn't have an inhibitor at all, so Peter wouldn't have the opportunity to make it himself. hulk works perfectly, and significantly better than lizard would.

Yelena i completely agree with but i've heard an argument of, her purpose. Yelena was to symbolize peter's loneliness. Hulk was there for peters mutation, and jean was a mix of all.

I think understanding who the real villain is makes u a real spiderman fan jean was peak cause it gave us a streetlevel movie without making it a mess, hulk was perfect cause he's finally done as we ant him to be otherwise he would still be the smart guy and lizard would also be a weird inclusion after having him in no way home and yelena being in it shows us why the other heroes do not give a shi about spideybusines. these characters made the movie feal more realistic also and we really needed an introduction from an x men and where else is better than a spiderman movie

Although it was lowkey just for a sick action sequence I think they could use what happened with the hulk in bnd to fix his flaws, possibly retcon how the hulk works and get rid of smart hulk
