I own a house in northern Greece mainland where you can do skiing in the winter if you like. Less tourists and amazing views and people. Will move there when I retire.

you should do one more thing. there is Agio Oros. Mount Anthos. it's a Holy place that consists of Orthodox Christian Monasteries. They will accept you and you can live there with the Monks and be near God. They say people that were Atheists went there and stayed forever.

It has a very diverse landscape for its size! Some Greeks are miserable and will list all the bad things about the country but I think it's just their personality 😂 Enjoy your stay here ✨
