@fair.magda.613: BTS Dionysus 3 of 4 This is the third in the series for BTS' (방탄 소년단) song 'Dionysus'. The song is named after the Greek god Dionysus, known for his association with wine, revelry, and the arts, which BTS uses to represent the creative process and the 'intoxication' of art. The song uses the concept of getting 'drunk' not on alcohol but on art, comparing the feeling of creating music to the feeling of being intoxicated. An interesting detail about 'Dionysus' lyrics... When you hear the group call 'onghaeya' (옹헤야), they are using a repeated phrase in the call and response of Korean folk music. Its origin is likely from the rousing songs sung to keep the rhythm while harvesting barley. Please look for the rest of the 'Dionysus' series which I will be posting throughout the day.
