I used a criminal defense attorney who does victims advocate work. My daughter‘s father severely stalked me for 10 ys and yes I did win charges were filed against him, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, but only because I had an attorney. I had all the evidence in my hand, recorded conversations everything. I walked in without an attorney and they made me feel like it was all my fault. You are not wrong for wanting to walk in with an attorney because they will literally twist and turn things in a way to try to intimidate you not to move forward.
