I know not everyone has the ability to travel with their kids for 6 weeks. And honestly… that’s not what this post is about. Our recent travels just happened to give me a really clear perspective on something I’ve been teaching parents for years: You should be able to take your parenting skills anywhere. To the grocery store To a restaurant On an airplane To a family gathering Or halfway around the world Because challenging behavior doesn’t disappear when you leave home. Your child might complain about the heat. Refuse to walk. Get frustrated. Have a meltdown. Push back on something you’ve asked them to do. That’s normal! The goal isn’t to raise kids who never struggle or never have big feelings. The goal is to know how to handle those moments when they happen. And even more importantly, to have a framework that helps you reduce the frequency, intensity, and duration of the behaviors that can otherwise suck the joy out of family life. That’s what allowed me to spend the last 6 weeks experiencing the world with my kids instead of constantly managing my kids. And THAT is what I want for more parents. Not perfect behavior. Not perfect kids. Just the confidence to know: “Whatever comes our way, I know what to do.” Because parenting shouldn’t feel like walking on eggshells waiting for the next thing to go wrong. YOU should be able to enjoy YOUR kids. ❤️ #parenting #parentingtips #positiveparenting #parentinghacks #parentinghelp parenting coach, respectful parenting, toddler tips, kids behavior, parenting struggles, family travel, travel with kids
