I feel like there’s been a ton of stuff about the comment thing and to me it’s that someone should just specify in their profile that they don’t comment😭 like I see a ton of profiles that say “I comment after I do revenges!” Or “I might forget to comment/comment late but I do appreciate attacks!” Like it clears up all confusion immediately, I agree for your other points!

Once saw a vid of someone saying that putting no descriptions in your attacks means you don’t care about the oc you’re attacking and you’re only doing it for points and it’s like what???? since when was that a thing?? people are just complaining to complain atp

I agree with all but the comments thing, If I see someone who doesn’t comment on all their attacks i usually won’t attack them tbh. Yeah the site’s glitchy but if someone’s putting potential hours into a piece for you, a simple “TY!” isn’t a big ask. But other than that, yes I very much agree. Especially with the “I only got X attacks ):” like it’s okay to be disappointed but that’s kinda diminishing the people who DID attack you.

i hate the "big artists steal attacks!" ppl only attack them once MAYBE twice and move on. no one is stealing anythibg 😭 im a very unpopular artist and i got HELLA attacks. it just dumbs down to promoting a lot atp

The entitlement this year is really annoying 😭😭I made it very clear I was busy and not going to be very active at all on AF and I still had someone try to guilt me and beg for me to attack them back right when the event was already almost over too😞

my artfight hot take this year is. everyone is so overly giddy to report attacks that are chibi or have doodles included because they see anything with a simple style as "point farming". Half the posts of attacks getting reported or taken down that I've seen are all artfight legal, they just report it because "well, it just FEELS like they made it to point farm". like damn homie, someone can't draw your character more than once on the same page without you getting mad?

i did 4 attacks (this was my first ever artfight). the fourth one was my mass one with 11 characters. trust, if you don’t enjoy drawing, then it’s not fun. but the amount of fun i had seeing the whole thing come out, i show it off with pride. i keep reminding myself that this is supposed to be an art gifting event and people forget that. they EXPECT stuff out of it but that’s not the spirit of the game

The event is definitely a lot more fun when you're going at your own pace, this year I've done 3 attacks, 2 of them being attacks and one being a revenge with 3 characters, making a total of 6 characters drawn. You should not be forcing yourself to make so many at once, and especially if it means you expect the same from other people.

This was my fourth year and I will say the community was the worst I've seen it. Thankfully my experience on the site was great as usually but some of the comments/videos I've seen are downright crazy. Like wdym you're deleting attacks because you didn't get a comment 🥀 I fear I do sympathize a bit since the attack I'm the most proud of got ZERO acknowledgement but am I gonna delete it over that?? Absolutely not 😭

also if you have things in your permissions that are ignored in an attack, you can report it and it'll be taken down. if you have specific characteristics you dont want changed, put it in your permissions

the absolute FASTEST repost I ever did, bc all of these takes are 100% RIGHT!!! heavy on the website being glitchy, I didnt even know that some of my comments never went through until much later when ppl called it out 💔💔💔 I felt so bad 😭😭😭 ill always see Artfight as a perfect opportunity to test/experiment with your work, those who complain about it make the event so much less fun. Last year I got alot of harassment from ppl I thought were friends bc they thought I didnt deserve the attacks I got, when in reality I was busy irl with the impacts of a natural disaster- im still getting shit to this day from the one user, but I try to enjoy Artfight for what it is this year regardless. I just wish ppl would appreciate being able to look back and see how far they've come over the years. artfight is such a good place to admire how much youve changed over the years, its a place where you should give and not expect return, and be proud of what you can accomplish.

I fully agree, the constant and complaining and whining is saw on my fyp in July was so annoying and came off so entitled. if you are pure of heart artfight will be fun. 🤷‍♂️

AF was insanely better for me this year than last when I only made a few attacks and got attacked twice(?), this year i hit around 20 attacks and around 20 defenses. But then I see everyone saying it was horrible? Not just for them but calling people's participation bad too
