#lookism #gunpark #gookim #gungoo

forgotten gem fr The forgotten story of Punch Quest — one of the greatest mobile games nobody seems to remember. Released in 2012, Punch Quest was a beat ’em up/endless runner developed by Canadian studio Madgarden, published by Rocketcat Games on iOS and Noodlecake Studios on Android. The concept was ridiculously simple: punch your way through an endless dungeon and beat the ever-living shit out of as many monsters as possible. Your character (Punchzerker/Smashkyrie) was controlled entirely by tapping either side of the screen. Tap the left side and you’d perform an uppercut, launching enemies upward or slamming them back down. Tap the right side and you’d throw a forward-dashing punch, allowing you to keep charging through the dungeon. As you progressed, you collected Punchos, the game’s currency. Every level gave you more opportunities to spend them on special attacks, with a meter that could hold three different abilities. Every special attack had its own ridiculous effect, and you could swap them around through the customization menu. And customization went way beyond attacks. You could buy different outfits and other cosmetic upgrades with the Punchos you earned, gradually turning your character into whatever bizarre punching machine you wanted. The game became surprisingly successful for its time, receiving extremely positive reviews and reaching hundreds of thousands of downloads shortly after release. But despite its popularity, Punch Quest never became the household-name mobile classic that games from the same era did. The mobile gaming landscape changed, the game stopped receiving major updates, and eventually it faded into the forgotten corners of the App Store and Google Play. Which is honestly insane considering what the game was. Punch Quest was basically an entire era of 2010s mobile gaming compressed into one game: pixel art, absurd humor, endless running, beat ’em up mechanics, ridiculous abilities, and a completely unhinged amount of punching. And somehow, barely anyone talks about it anymore. #fyp #punchquest #undertaleedit #determination
