There are a couple of inches of tide in the Mediterranean !🤣 Also at another point in the movie Odysseus says to his crew, “we’ll leave on the next tide” 🤣 Nolan has clearly not spent much vacation time in the region ! 🤣🤣

I really thought you were going to say that the perfectly sculpted replica of a horse in no way could ever have been made so accurately and precisely using spare ship parts 😂 that’s what took me out of it. Wasn’t thinking of tidal charts. Also though they should have probably left it a bit further up the beach. Not very smart for smarty pants Odysseus

That's a fair point, it is odd 🤔 They filmed on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, so they got tides for the shot, but yh definitely wouldn't Translate well to the Aegean coast of Turkey 🤷♀️😅🌀🛡️

indeed, it wasn't the cyclops, or the giants, or even the men turning into pigs. it was the comical exaggeration of the mediterranean tidal depth that really made this a tall tale

Now that I saw that animation with the water bulges, I got confused. Why is it that the low tides are always in the morning, while the high tides are in the afternoon? Since both the Earth and Moon are rotating it doesn't seem like it should always line up that way.
