At first, the light was positioned directly overhead. It illuminated everything, but the image felt flat and lacked the depth that makes footage stand out. Then I moved the light to the side of the camera, letting the shadows do some of the work. Same camera. Same angle. Same desk setup. But the difference? More contrast, more dimension, and a much more cinematic look. This is one of my favorite lighting tips because it works for almost any creator.
