After a year and a half of feeling like I lost a piece of myself, she came back. And as everything I wish she could’ve been for me in the first place. God has a way, and it’s soo out of conception for us, I never thought I’d even see her face again, but here we are, and healthier than we ever could’ve been.

Last week, she decided to take a step back from our relationship. We’re both young and her father doesn’t want her to have a boyfriend yet. She felt guilty after he got into an accident and had to separate from her mother. She wants to stay with me but without any of the love and reassurance we had before. I can trust her and she trusts me which is why she wants the both of us to stay and wait. I felt so desperate even though she still planned out dates we could have. I tried to convince her to come back to me but it just ended with us being both frustrated. After seeing this video, I was reminded of God’s word and this helps. I still miss her but I feel the love behind her words and actions even if they aren’t direct love. We’ve changed each other so much and have become better people. Right now, I just want to love her as much as I can even with this boundary she’s set. She’s always been in my prayers and I know God did this for a reason. I think he’s allowing the both of us to grow into better people emotionally and spiritually. I’ve noticed less thoughts of lust and I’m learning to trust in her even more now. I trust in God and I trust in her. I’ll continue loving her with patience and with kindness so that once we can be together again, we can look back at this season as a hurdle we overcame by truly loving each other.
