And you begin to remember. Scenes flying past, words rustling in your ears, scents tickling your nose… before it stops. One moment. Just one. To relive it would be heaven. But you can’t. That moment has been lost to time and only your memories are left. All you can think of: True art is only created through yearning, love and grief. You’ve seen perfection yet all there is now is nothing but an empty spot. Things changed. That person must have moved on and now it’s just you left wondering. Wondering what would have happened if you had done something different. Would it have been the same? Maybe not. Maybe it could have been that perfection that you dream of. That warmth and peace you long for. Yet now there is nothing of that left in you. Only the vast emptiness that was once joy. Grief and yearning having taken the place of warmth and love. And still you wonder and hope. Yet you only lose. Not because you’re feelings aren’t existent or valid but because there is nothing left to gain. Nothing left you could try to reach for. It feels like it’s all useless. You drift through the days. Moments become hours, weeks and time is merely an illusion. You lose yourself, drifting apart and you wish they remained at your side. Remained so you could love them. Love them like they deserve. Like you deserve to be loved. Yet there is nothing but your memories, reminding you of those warm yet gruesome days. You love them but now you can’t help but feel pain when remembering. It hurts
