@sabfortony: i think about my past self a lot and wish i could’ve held her, sat in her grief with her, loved her, talked about tony with her, cried with her, laughed with her. she was so lonely… bearing the unimaginable weight of this loss, dreading every single day, wondering how she was going to survive this, sitting still as the rest of the world continued moving. 1,337 days later, she’s doing the impossible. she’s living another day with hope, not by pretending this loss never happened, but by facing all the highs and lows of her journey. there were people who wanted to silence her, who told her how she’s grieving is wrong, who judged her for living her life. and thankfully, she didn’t listen and chose to live the only way she knew how, which was through sharing the grief and pain. i am no grief expert. i’m just a girl doing her best and figuring things out as she goes. if you’re wondering how you’ll survive this, i promise you that you will. oftentimes, it’ll be because you have no other choice. but over time, it’ll be more and more because you want to stay. that doesn’t mean the grief and pain don’t exist because it always will, but alongside that, life will be beautiful too. and you’ll slowly build a life you can love again while carrying the love for and from your loved ones forward. so keep choosing to stay. 💗 #griefsupport #griefandloss #rebuild #HealingJourney #widow
