NICEE, loving when ppl learn low-level stuff! Did you use some boilerplate or framework for it btw? Reminds me of my dumb attempts to reimplement Intel 8008 on a Cyclone 10 FPGA… Maybe one day x3

Tho developing OS has little to no practical use nowadays, as in no commercial viability - most companies just use cheap linux boards or use custom ones - for example with FPGAs. Very cool thing to learn, to oversimplify - „build your own chip/cpu/gpu”. Kinda hard to get a grasp on, haven’t properly learned it myself, but well… teaches a lot about how computers works from-the-inside, and it’s much more satisfying (and cool!) to code on hardware, instead of software level. Hope I spread my passion to someone 🙂
