@heathersheartjourney: #dexcomg7 #diabetic #hypoglycemic #heartattacksurvivor #selfadvocacy I was getting Dexcom’s covered for years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. i had to fight them for months to get them covered. I am Diabetic and Hypoglycemic. My husbands insurance changed to Cigna, and they took my Diabetes monitors away from me for 1/2 a year. They were saying I needed to be insulin to be approved. I am on blood thinners (Heart Attack Survivor). If I faint from low blood sugar, I will end up in the hospital. It took 3 times of doing appeals and a doctor call with the insurance to get me approved. It’s ridiculous what they put me through.
