Just to note: There’s blood on the floor when Loki drops the illusion so either he cut himself on accident when destroying the room OR he did it on purpose knowing it would hurt because he felt he deserved it

It's a strangely human condition for adopted people to feel out of place even with a family who loves them like their own. Thor adored Loki, Frigga loved him and taught him magic, Odin loved him so much he permanently changed his form so he wouldn't feel like an outsider. And yet Loki always felt like they didn't love him. And he deluded himself into thinking he didn't love them. He only realized what he had after he lost them. So heartbreaking.
