Honestly I always found it a bit "sad" that angels became so normalized the longer the seasons had gone .. because literally no one was believing in them until season 3(?) 4(?) and suddenly they are literally everywhere like a company that expanded into franchise 😭😂

I think the angels in seasons four and five were fantastic; you really felt like they were scary entities. I think after season five, they should have retired and made a few cameos here and there (like Gabriel did before), with the exception of Cas.

ive always said the introduction of the angels made supernatural lose its integrity. it went from a show that explored ancient folklore and paganism to musical episodes and alternate realities.
