I think also for Lestat it’s not so much solely a fear of being alone, but more so a fear of never finding the intense love he feels to be reciprocated. We see him trying to fill the void and coping with all these flings and hookups but it still leaves him feeling empty. He also tries to settle in being materialistic in the sense of offering things to people in order to try and win their affection and keep them; he thinks love is transactional because at the core of it all he can’t see why someone would love him for just him.
