I've been really curious on this so im hoping you can clarify with an answer for my understanding of how you got here. if you have experienced the presence of the lord then how can you turn away from him? ive had so many personal, tangible and spirit filled experiences with Christ, and "coincidences" that were far too detailed and personable to be a mistake. he's spoke scripture to me that I've never heard, guided me to do things that have a crazy plot twist that all adds up in the end and he's healed people right infront of my eyes. leaving the church is understandable but how did you turn away from him?

as a former music pastor for a megachurch people will stay come up to me and say "you led me to jesus during this one song" and I tell them we had a staff meeting about creating a moment when people would be emotionally vulnerable and then we would intentionally manipulate them into thinking there was a problem with them. I was evaluated based on the tithes given.

Did missionary work for a week in New York, I played and sang guitar at an all men’s rehab and many of them converted that day, we did baptisms with a bottle of water. I shared the gospel to many unhoused people in the subway station. But I will never forget when I was at the orphanage and a 5 year old child started crying and saying she didn’t want Jesus to kill himself for us. I deconstructed 3 years ago and no longer call myself Christian.
