Weekend Trip: DC to Pittsburgh! ✈️🏙️ I think we’ve all been sleeping on Pittsburgh (@visitpittsburgh ) because this was one of my most unexpectedly fun weekend trips yet. It’s an easy flight from DC, incredibly walkable, full of history, and has this unexpected Gilded Age luxury that I was not expecting. FRIDAY ✈️ 2:00 PM — Fly DCA → PIT (recently named one of the most beautiful airports in the world!) 🏨 3:30 PM — Check into the historic Omni William Penn Hotel 🚠 5:15 PM — Ride the Duquesne Incline ($2.50) for skyline views 🍽️ 6:30 PM — Dinner at Altius overlooking the city SATURDAY 🌿 10:30 AM — Explore Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Carnegie Museum of Natural History & the University of Pittsburgh campus 🍔 4:00 PM — Grab a late lunch at Hey Babe 🌉 6:15 PM — Walk across the iconic Roberto Clemente Bridge 🍹 6:30 PM — Waterfront drinks at Shore Thing ⚾ 7:00 PM — Catch a Pirates game at PNC Park (one of the prettiest stadium views!) SUNDAY ☕ 9:30 AM — Explore the Strip District (coffee stop at De Fer Coffee & Tea) 🎨 10:30 AM — Visit the Andy Warhol Museum ✈️ Fly home to DC Pittsburgh truly surprised me between the skyline views, incredible architecture, museums, food, and walkability, it might be one of the most underrated weekend trips from DC.
