If someone “time blind” only arrives late, they aren’t actually time blind 😂 you should be just as blind to arrive early sometimes. We also have way too much tech to do that these days

I work with kids with genuine time blindness. I make them time themselves doing things - getting dressed, brushing their teeth, doing their makeup, etc. Then together we figure out how long it takes them to get ready by adding it all up and we set alarms so they know when they need to be switching tasks. It takes a phone and some basic math skills. Time blindness is real but it’s not an excuse.

I have time blindness so everything I plan has a time buffer in case of setbacks or distractions. I add an extra 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes depending on the scale.

My last in person job I was a store manager for a local business. 3/4 of the employees had ADHD (or AuDHD), myself and the owner included. At least once or twice a year we'd get into an argument where he'd be mad about employees not being on time, at which point I'd remind him that A) Neither of us were ever on time and B) I wrote the schedule to accommodate the fact that all of us would roll in +/- 20 minutes to the scheduled time. There are jobs where being on time is critical, but my personal policy has always been that if work is getting done, coworkers are not being inconvenienced in any way, and your eta has been communicated to the relavent people, then people showing up late are just saving me payroll.
