my dad committed suicide January 13 and his birthday was valentines day. I no longer celebrate valentines day just his birthday. he wanted me to have his Ram truck but I couldn't afford it with how much he owed so I had to give it back to the bank. now I get anxious seeing white rams thinking someone else is driving my dads truck. I hate going out to eat cause I only really did that with my dad. I hate myself cause I didn't know he was struggling like that. I hate my birthday cause now i won't every hear him sing me happy birthday. I turn 26 September 9th. idk what to do

I’m sorry… my dad passed this year June 17, dad’s bday was 7/28 and my bday was yesterday 8/5. I’m nervous for the holidays. Yesterday on my bday all i heard in my head was my dad’s voice saying happy bday to me. It made me sad that I’m never going to hear it in real life ever again

5/5/2026 joined this horrible club and I'm no where near okay for sure. Seeing a yellow transfer or Jeep gets me, he lived in my backyard pretty much so going to their house sucks. Father's Day was almost unbearable but had to pull it together for my father in law. He missed my wife's bday by literally 3 days and his funeral was the day after and day before Mothers Day. My heart goes out to you!

He’s been gone five years. I wrecked my car on his birthday last month July 3rd and should have died. I know he was there but that acknowledgment hurts more than i imagined. He intervened and I’m still here.
