Never date a cop. Ladies and gentlemen. Just don’t unless you’re a lawyer or judge.

it's the "there is no evidence that could convince me that he's guilty" that did it for me.

Her having her baby on the day he was convicted is almost poetic. She got her happily ever after and he got his up and comings.

My ex husband had cameras hidden around our house too. It was horrible. He even put them under our bed to make sure I wasn’t cheating on him.

The bad people who want to be on documentaries (about themselves) only care about the cameras and attention. They also think they’re smarter than the rest of the world, so… 🤷🏼‍♀️

Would also love to heat Angela's story. I feel like it was a combo of being guilty and having an @busive partner.

Michelle was so lucky to get that detective who actually did his job. Normally they are so biased with men and don’t look into them. I was so glad he was there

I still feel like Ian didn’t meet Angela by chance-what are the odds he would get involved with someone with her kind of background of scamming?

I’m still so confused by this whole thing. It makes no sense to me that these two got together and did this to Michelle? Did they do it together? Did he manipulate the whole thing? Were the twins ever a thing? Did she do that on her own or did they lie about that together? So many unanswered questions.

The Anaheim police department did zero investigating before arresting Michelle & setting 1M bail. I'm glad she got a settlement.

cops are so stupid and lazy. Michelle spend 4 months in jail for nothing and no one took the time to actually research the crimes?! and then it took what 5 minutes to find all the proof in IANS FREAKING LAPTOP?

This doc was wild. Thoroughly unrelated, but have you caught the fb post that Timothy Rodrigues made and then the comment from his SiL?

I have to say I was genuinely surprised that the police investigator took this seriously enough considering it was a ‘domestic’ issue and not an ‘on duty’ issue. I had a friend years back who was in a DV situation with a cop, his department kept protecting him and the only reason she ended up getting justice was because he ended up assaulting her while on a vacation in another country where that police department took her seriously 😕

Just throwing this out there: I’d be so interested to hear your takes on the Abandoned (Abandonados) documentary on Hulu/Disney+. It’s about 3 small children found alone at a train station in the 80s and it’s simultaneously the most heartbreaking and heartwarming documentary I’ve watched in ages.

The only thing I heard when the police were interviewing Michelle was “did you send the emails?” She says yes but did they ever show her all the emails? She is clearly confessing to the first 2 not the aggressive ones. Anyway this was eye opening. Glad Michelle is able to tell her story.

The depth in which I wish people understood the narcissistic abuse of white cops and the way in which their “brothers in blue” protect them… as a survivor of a pig in blue, I can tell you it’s the most terrifying thing you can experience.
