After running my illustration business Katnipp for the last ten years scaling up to a team of seven at one point and scaling down, all while moving from Studio to Studio and pivoting along the way. I realised I had got lost in the hustle of small business. I sat and journaled for months, often asking myself “What would my dream day truly look like.” How would I work, move through the day, spend my time? After all life is so short. And I realised what once was my dream in my 20’s, no longer quite fit anymore in my mid-thirties. The direction of a warehouse and thousands of pounds worth of stock and countless amounts of stress just wasn’t it for me anymore. I dreamed of slow mornings, watching the birds outside, taking time to create illustrations, vlogs, photography and to share those with you guys. Even time to daydream, and just generally have a smaller more simplified life and creative business. Well we have just closed the book on that chapter of our lives. And opened the first page of our new one. Now I plan on slowing down, hopefully bringing you lots more adorable characters, colouring books, eventually stories and wholesome cozy content.
