@artyfakes: Chat I’m cooked. I’m officially old. #larper #liveactionroleplay

Stuart Horswell :

From a GenX point, it's just making a known term or word slang and an insult. Usually happens with older words that young people misunderstand, misuse or misappropriate. It certainly shows a lack of originality, much like cover songs or movie remakes.

Eddie P :

Just means they’re playing a part. Not for real etc

Dagnir :

Derogatory, cause they think they are just roleplaying a nerd. And not a real nerd

Ben chope :

I think it’s people trying to think up a term for the fake fans and ironically larpers was the closest they could think up 😂

tom pearce :

Important questions! What was your go to army, and class?

Nelson Salahub :

It’s whatever they’re ‘larping as’ that’s the insult. So ‘larper’ is short for ‘larping as a decent person’ or ‘larping as an expert on this subject’, ‘larping as someone we should listen to’ etc.

girldadgrowth :

I asked someone this and they said because they a Live Action Role Playing being a Goth or Nerd and are not authenticity those things

MoonBagJedi :

Leggy :

They're also using "cosplayer", but i guess that wouldn't work on you.
