@meowfactorart: Spike has his heart set on Rarity, but even if he WEREN’T a baby dragon… I think she’s got her priorities elsewhere. Best move on, Spike buddy, it’s a moot point. I wonder how the Spike/Rarity dynamic would have developed overtime had Lauren Faust stayed on the show past season 2. She very clearly understood what she set up, but subsequent writers end up vastly misinterpreting how Spike and Rarity are supposed to interact, of course leading to some of the most universally-agreed upon worst episodes MLP: FiM has to offer. It’s truly a shame how often FiM gets basic things like this so wrong, as it’s a children’s show and should be setting the standard for child safety with adults, rather than being the open gateway to so, so much internet child abuse.
